Double Connection Knot

The Double Connection Knot is a very easy knot to tie and is a very stable knot.  As the name implies, it is basically two knots tied over one another which form an X pattern when tightened.  It can be tied vertically or horizontally and is used very often in simple chinese knotting projects.

Hints

When tying this knot, tighten the knot slowly and work it into the spot that you want it before tightening it completely.  Trying to undo and move this knot can be dificult and can also result in the X shape becoming deformed.
