Satin Cord / Rattail

Rattail or Nylon Satin is a cord that has a beautiful satin finish.  It is a really strong and durable cord which can be used for braiding, macrame, kumihimo, draw string bags  and a whole array of crafting projects.    Its ends can be sealed with a flame or thread burner and is a great cord to use with the younger crafter.     

It is also the favorite cord for Chinese Knotting as it can hold up to the wear and tear of chinese knotting yet maintains its silk like appearance.  It has become so popular with this type of knotting that the cord itself can be referred to as Chinese Knotting Cord!  How is that for confusing!
